About Us
Fat Guy Scuba Supply was built on a simple belief: every diver deserves gear that fits comfortably, performs reliably, and helps them feel confident in the water.
In 2023, after three years of cancer treatment, I made the decision to return to diving - not only to reconnect with a lifelong passion, but to restore my spirit in the best way I knew how.
What I quickly discovered was that getting back into the water was harder than expected. Years of chemotherapy and prednisone treatments had changed my body, and finding gear that fit properly became an exhausting challenge. Rental equipment didn’t fit. Dive shop options were limited. I tried hundreds of products across multiple stores, but nothing truly felt comfortable, functional, or confidence-inspiring.
Then I realized I was far from alone.
On dive boats, at resorts, and along beaches, I saw countless other divers facing the exact same frustrations - people who loved diving but struggled to find gear designed for real-world bodies and real-world comfort.
That experience became the foundation for Fat Guy Scuba Supply.
What started as a personal mission evolved into a commitment to helping divers find equipment that fits better, feels better, and allows them to focus on the adventure instead of fighting their gear. Today, we carefully seek out products that improve comfort, increase confidence, and help bring the joy back to diving. If we can't source them organically, we manufacture them.
Because diving should never be limited by body type, size, or fit.
Our goal is simple: help every diver feel comfortable, capable, and excited to get back in the water.
We hope to do the same for you.
