It gets opened and closed every time you change the battery, and over time it can get scratched, worn, dropped on the boat deck or lost in a gear bag. A damaged cap puts an expensive computer at risk. Replacing it is a lot cheaper than dealing with a flooded battery compartment in the middle of a dive trip.

Worth having in your spares kit

If you travel to dive, a spare battery cap is easy to pack and can save a trip. Battery changes often happen in a hotel room or on a rocking boat, which is exactly when small parts go missing. Keeping a spare with your batteries and save-a-dive kit means one lost part doesn't take your main computer out of service for the week.

Specifications

Brand: Shearwater

Category: Scuba Gear / Computer Accessories

Manufacturer part number(s): 23009-01

UPC(s): 628242090506

Before ordering

Check the retailer's product details to confirm this cap fits your specific Perdix model and to see whether any o-rings or other parts are included.

FGSS take: Small parts protect big investments.
