Shearwater Perdix 3 Dive Computer

Quick answer: The Shearwater Perdix 3 Dive Computer is the third generation of Shearwater's full-size Perdix wrist computer, offered in silver or black.

Why divers choose a Perdix

The Perdix line has a strong following among recreational and technical divers. It's a full-size wrist computer with a large screen, and that size is a real advantage. A bigger display is easier to read at depth, in low light and when your wrist is tucked in close to your body. It's the kind of computer you can start with as a newer diver and keep as your training grows.

Air integration ready

The retailer lists the Perdix 3 with its air-integrated computers. This listing is for the computer on its own, so if you want tank pressure on your wrist, check whether a transmitter is included or plan to add one. If you'd rather keep your hose-mounted gauge for now, that works too. Air integration can be something you add later, once you've gotten comfortable with the computer.

Before ordering

Pick silver or black and check the retailer's product details for exactly what's in the box. Confirm transmitter compatibility if you plan to add air integration. If you dive a thick wetsuit or drysuit, make sure the included strap will reach, or plan on a longer one.

FGSS take: A big, readable screen and room to grow make the Perdix 3 worth a close look.
