Dangling gauges, lights and accessories snag on reefs, drag through sand and tangle in lines. A brass swivel snap gives you a secure clip point, and the swivel lets the attached gear turn freely so lines and hoses don't twist up.

The quick-release male end is what makes this piece handy. It connects to a matching UNI-QUIK female fitting, so you can detach a piece of gear from its mount without unclipping the whole snap. That's useful when you want to hand off a light or camera, or remove gear on the boat without fighting a clip with cold or gloved hands.

Why brass

Brass holds up well in salt water and is a common choice for dive hardware.
