The Cressi Desert Lady is a women's-specific dry suit built from 4mm high-density neoprene that is pre-compressed from an original 7mm thickness. Pre-compressing the neoprene ahead of manufacturing means the suit's insulating cells are already compacted before you dive, so the suit resists further compression at depth. In practical terms, that means more consistent thermal protection and less buoyancy swing as you descend, compared to standard neoprene that keeps compressing (and losing insulation) the deeper you go.
The suit's exterior uses Cressi's SPAN-FLEX outer layer for stretch and mobility, with X-DIAMOND reinforcement patches at the high-wear areas of the suit to resist abrasion over repeated dives. All seams are finished with Cressi's Liquid Seal Technology, which coats the stitching in a flexible sealant layer to help keep the seams both watertight and durable.
